How COVID-19 is impacting Mykilim activity: We’re all in this TOGETHER

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to develop as the days go by. As a brand and a community, we believe that we must play our part in slowing down the spread of the virus while we continue to operate.

Our top priority continues to be dedicated to our team and our customers. This means prioritizing the health and safety of our artisans at every level of the production and sales process: from partner stores to headquarters, and across our supply chain.
As of now, our partner stores are closing until April.

Our online store will remain open, however with some delays in the delivery of most orders. For any questions or assistance, we are available at customer@mykilimshop.com or via our social media channels.
This is a critical moment for the world and our communities. As we all continue to live our daily lives to the best of our ability, let’s work together to protect and care for one another.

During COVID-19, we are committed to the support of our local artisans in Morocco and we also want to contribute to feeding people in need in the most vulnerable communities impacted by the pandemic right now. That is why we are launching a donation opportunity with ‘Mklm x Feeding America’ in order to contribute and join forces with the TOGETHER initiative during this critical moment. 

You can choose to make a $5 donation on any purchase. 100% of the donations’ proceedings will be transferred to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund.

Will Mykilim continue to launch new products?
We will continue to launch new products during this time, but at a slower pace, in accordance with the care and sensitivity that this particular period is asking for. Our hope is that we can bring a feeling of normalcy to our customers who still want to shop our handbags.

What is the plan for online fulfillment?
Our distribution center is currently running slower while taking extensive precautions to ensure the safety of its workers.

Will Mykilim shipment be delayed?
Our order processing time may increase to 3–5 weeks. US and Canada shipments may be delayed to varying degrees due to reduced network capacity.

How can I return or exchange a product?
In response to COVID-19, we have extended our return policy to 100 days, return fees will be free. If you have any questions please reach out to customer@mykilimshop.com for more information.


What is happening with your workshop in Morocco during this time?
Currently our workshop is closed. We have been in constant communication with our artisans in the last few days and in accordance with the safety policies, we’ve agreed to slow down our activity. It was a very difficult decision for everyone involved, but especially for our artisans.
We’ve decided to support them through donating a percentage of every purchase from the beginning of March until May.

This will help to support their current fixed expenses and provide some revenue during this time.

How will the team be working during this time?
Our team will continue to work remotely on all sales and marketing issues. We will use this time to create new content and keep our customers updated on all shipment processes and delays. Our team is dedicated to the continued support of our customers during this time.

How can I support local artisans MKLM’s local artisans in Morroco and donate to the Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund?
